Step 4 – Patient Communication Materials
Preparing patients for change is just as important as getting the technology right. We take patient communication seriously and have invested significant time and care into designing clear, reassuring, and practice-appropriate materials to support your EMMA rollout.
When patients understand what is changing, why it’s changing, and how it benefits them, they are far more likely to feel confident, involved, and positive about the new system. Good communication reduces uncertainty, builds trust, and plays a key role in the success of EMMA in your practice.
To support this, we are sending your surgery a set of professionally designed physical patient communication materials. These will arrive within two weeks of procuring EMMA.
What you'll receive
You’ll receive a complete set of materials designed specifically for GP surgery environments:
- Waiting room posters
- Patient information leaflets
These assets clearly explain how EMMA works, what patients can expect when they call the practice, and how EMMA supports access and demand management. They are designed to be easy to understand, inclusive, and reassuring for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Why This Matters
Clear and visible patient communication helps to:
- Set expectations well ahead of go-live
- Reduce confusion or anxiety for patients
- Encourage patient acceptance and engagement
- Support a smooth and confident transition to EMMA
When patients feel informed, they are much more likely to embrace the change.
No action required
There’s nothing you need to do at this stage. We’ll send tracking details once the materials are dispatched and will advise on the best time to display and distribute them ahead of your go-live date.
