Step 6 – Team Training & Enablement

We place a strong emphasis on staff education and readiness. To support this, we’ve built a dedicated training platform designed specifically to give your team everything they need to work confidently and effectively with EMMA.

Successful implementation isn’t just about technology — it’s about people. When teams understand how EMMA works, what she can do, and how to work alongside her, they’re more comfortable, more confident, and far more likely to embrace the change.

All relevant team members now have access to our online training platform and can complete the training at a time that fits around their existing workload.

What the Training Covers

The training provides clear, practical guidance on:

  • How EMMA handles different types of patient calls
  • When and how staff may need to step in
  • Using the EMMA dashboard and controls
  • Best practices for working alongside EMMA day to day
  • Common scenarios and how to handle them

        The content is grounded in real GP practice workflows and focuses on what teams need to know in practice, not theory.

        Designed for Busy Teams

        We know time is limited in primary care, so the training has been designed to be flexible and manageable:

        • Content is broken into short 2–5 minute videos
        • Modules can be completed in any order
        • Training can be paused and resumed at any time
        • Videos can be revisited whenever a refresher is needed

        Total training time is approximately 1–2 hours, depending on role. Training does not need to be completed in one sitting.

        As EMMA develops and new features are introduced, we’ll continue to add new videos to the platform so your team always has access to up-to-date guidance.

        What We Ask You to Do

        Please ensure that all staff who will work with EMMA complete the training before go-live. This typically includes:

        • Reception and patient-facing staff
        • Practice managers
        • Any clinical staff who need an understanding of how EMMA manages calls

        Access details

        Each team member will receive individual login details by email. If anyone hasn’t received access, or if additional users need to be added, just let us know.

        Timing

        All relevant staff should complete the training within one week, ahead of your EMMA go-live date.
