What Is Involved in Setting Up NINA

NINA is embedded on your website via a small script. QuantumLoopAI configures and trains NINA using your website content, builds and tests it, and provides a demo for you to review. Your website provider then adds the deployment code to your site.

Your practice is only actively involved at a few points. The majority of the setup is handled by QuantumLoopAI.

NINA can be set up independently of the EMMA go-live process. You do not need to wait for porting to be complete before starting NINA setup.

What QuantumLoopAI Needs from You

To configure and train NINA, QuantumLoopAI needs the following from your practice:

  • Confirmation that your website content can be used to train NINA — NINA is trained on the information already on your surgery website, such as services, opening times, and contact details
  • Any additional content you want NINA to reference — FAQs, patient information leaflets, service lists, or other materials not on your website
  • Details of your website provider or developer — their name and email address so QuantumLoopAI can coordinate the installation directly with them if needed
  • Any specific preferences — for example, topics you want NINA to avoid, or particular services you want her to prioritise

Once QuantumLoopAI has this information, the team will begin building and configuring NINA. You will be kept updated throughout.

The Setup Process

Stage 1 — Information gathering You provide the content and website provider details listed above. QuantumLoopAI begins building NINA based on your website and any additional materials you share.

Stage 2 — Demo review Once NINA is configured, QuantumLoopAI shares a demo link with your practice. You can interact with NINA on the demo page and test how she responds to patient queries.

Review the demo carefully. If you want any changes — to the information she provides, the tone, or how she handles specific topics — share your feedback with your account manager before approving.

Stage 3 — Deployment Once you confirm you are happy with the demo, QuantumLoopAI prepares the live deployment code and shares it with your website provider.

Your website provider adds the script to your site — either before the closing body tag or via your CMS footer script area. The script is compatible with all website platforms used by NHS GP surgeries, including HTML, HubSpot, React.js, and Next.js sites.

QuantumLoopAI verifies that NINA is loading and working correctly after installation.

Stage 4 — Live confirmation Once verified, you receive a confirmation email that NINA is live. NINA activity becomes visible in your QuantumLoopAI dashboard alongside EMMA.

What Your Website Provider Needs to Do

Your website provider does not need specialist knowledge to install NINA. They add the script that QuantumLoopAI provides to your website. The script goes either:

  • Before the closing </body> tag, or
  • Site-wide through your CMS footer script area, or
  • Inside the <head> tag if your site is built with React.js or Next.js

The script contains the configuration values specific to your surgery. These are provided by QuantumLoopAI — your provider should not need to modify anything.

After adding the script, the provider should verify that the NINA widget appears in the bottom-right corner of your website and that a test conversation works correctly.

Your practice actions to get NINA live:

  1. Contact your account manager to confirm you want to proceed with NINA setup.
  2. Confirm that QuantumLoopAI can use your surgery website content to train NINA.
  3. Share any additional content you want NINA to use — FAQs, service lists, patient leaflets.
  4. Provide the name and contact details of your website provider or developer.
  5. Share any specific preferences for how NINA should behave.
  6. Wait for QuantumLoopAI to build NINA and share a demo link.
  7. Review the demo thoroughly. Test different types of patient questions and check how NINA responds.
  8. Share any feedback or requested changes with your account manager.
  9. Once happy, confirm approval of the demo.
  10. Forward the deployment code from QuantumLoopAI to your website provider, or let QuantumLoopAI contact them directly.
  11. Ask your website provider to add the code to your site and confirm once done.
  12. QuantumLoopAI will verify the installation and confirm NINA is live.

Troubleshooting

NINA is not appearing on our website after the code was added. Ask your website provider to confirm the script was added correctly — either before the closing body tag, via the CMS footer scripts, or in the head tag for React/Next.js sites. We cannot find the demo link QuantumLoopAI sent us. Check your inbox and spam folder for an email from QuantumLoopAI with the subject referencing your NINA demo. If you cannot find it, contact your account manager.

We want to change what NINA says after she is live. NINA's content and responses can be updated at any time. Contact your account manager or email support@quantumloopai.com with details of the changes needed.

Our website provider is not sure how to add the script. Share the NINA integration guide with them, available from your account manager. The code is a standard script tag and should be straightforward for any web developer to add. If the provider needs direct support, QuantumLoopAI can contact them.

NINA went live but is giving incorrect information. NINA is trained on your website content. If your website has outdated information, NINA may reflect it. Update your website and contact your account manager to request a NINA content refresh.

QuantumLoopAI can contact your provider directly if that helps. If you manage your own website, the script is a standard installation that most content management systems support.

How long does the NINA setup process take? The timeline depends on how quickly your practice provides the required information and how promptly your website provider installs the code. QuantumLoopAI will keep you updated throughout.

Will NINA slow down our website? No. The NINA script is designed to load without affecting website performance. It loads asynchronously so it does not block other page content.
